
CDP Community Group Class Levels
Recreational dance classes offer a more relaxed approach to learning dance, prioritizing enjoyment, fitness, and self-expression over rigorous training and competition. They cater to individuals of all ages and skill levels who wish to dance for personal enrichment, physical activity, and fun.​

Preschool (age 2)

Students at this level focus on creative movement, exploring movement through imagination, emotion, and individual expression rather than strict technique or choreography.

Preschool (ages 3-5)

Students at this level are gently introduced to basic dance terminology and concepts, building a foundation in dance technique and body awareness.

They will begin to understand rhythm and tempo through music and learn simple positions or shapes.

Classes are offered in ballet & tap.

Level 1 - Beginner (ages 6-9)

Students in Level 1, are new to dance. They will focus on learning basic steps, posture, alignment, fundamental rhythms, and terminology while developing confidence and discipline in a supportive, creative environment. Classes emphasize expressive movement, teamwork, and age-appropriate choreography.

Class are offered in ballet, tap, jazz, and other styles depending on level and interest.
Level 2 - Intermediate (age 10+)

Building on skills learned in level 1, students at this level have a solid understanding of the fundamental techniques and vocabulary.

Each class focuses on refining execution, increasing complexity of movements, improving musicality, and developing performance quality.

Classes are offered in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and hip hop.

Level 3 - Advanced (age 10+)

Again building on skills learned in levels 1 and 2, students at in level 3 are becoming highly skilled and experienced dancers.

The focus of instruction is on advanced technique, intricate combinations, artistic expression, and mоvemеnt.
